Biography


Dr. Jocelyn Idema is a highly sought-after board certified Orthopaedic spine surgeon who has been improving her patient’s lives since 2011.  After completing her Orthopaedic spine surgery fellowship at the Spine Institute of Arizona in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Idema continues to provide exemplary spine surgical care as well as deliver an extraordinary patient care experience.

Her extensive training in surgery began initially as a Johns Hopkins Registered Nurse in 2000 and further continued her extensive medical training in surgery including her internship at Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma with ultimately completing her orthopedic surgical residency through the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Idema received her DO degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with honors.  She is an expert at minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preservation, and muscle sparing surgical techniques that allow her patients to recover much more quickly and get back to the things that they like to do.

Most of her cervical and lumbar fusion surgery patients usually go home within 24 hours from their surgery.
